Suffering from constipation? Avoid these things!

Constipation is considered the most common ailments which we all have suffered, at one time or another. Though it is a common cause of painful defecation and basically refers to bowel movements that are infrequent or hard to pass. While you may try certain things to improve your bowel movement, but it can worsen your constipation instead of getting relief from the pain.
Here are some things you should never do when you are constipated:
One should avoid taking painkillers like ibuprofen regularly as it can contribute to constipation.
Consume dairy products
Avoid consuming dairy products like cream, cow’s milk and processed cheese as they have high lactose content which can lead to constipation and bloating.

Eating processed foods
Stop eating processed and refined foods like bread and pasta as they contain high amount of fats which can slow down digestion and lead to constipation. They also contain fructans to increase their shelf life which may lead to constipation, bloating and gas.
One should reduce their coffee intake when constipated as the caffeine in the drink can rob you off the hydration it needs for proper bowel movements. So, water is considered the best thing to relieve constipation.
