People padlock school to protest staff dearth in Chrar-e-Sharif village

They locked down the Government Middle School SaniDarwan and later on staged a sit-in outside the school premises.

The residents of SainiDarwan village of Chrar-e-Sharif area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday padlocked a government school to protest against the dearth of staff.

They locked down the Government Middle School SaniDarwan and later on staged a sit-in outside the school premises.

The villagers told that last year Government clubbed Primary school Astan Pora Chelyan village with Middle School Sanidarwan but the department failed to provide the required staff for the school.

“We have several times requested officials to provide the school with required staff but all our pleas have fallen on deaf ears,” said local Auqaf President Fayaz Ahmad Khanday.

Chief Education Officer Budgam Inderjeet Sharma said that he would look into the matter.
