Las Vegas shooting: Gunman ‘down’ after killing at least 50, says report

The suspect – identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock – opened fire from the 32nd floor of a hotel adjoing an open-air concert venue.

Las Vegas: At least 50 people have been killed and over 200 injured after a gunman opened fire at area around Mandalay Bay Casino here, according to a AFP report quoting police officials.

This is the deadliest mass shooting incident in modern US history.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has confirmed that the suspect – identified as Stephen Paddock – has been shot dead and they believe that there are no more shooters.

The police are searching for two vehicles associated with the shooter, Hyundai Tucson Nevada/114B40 and a Chrysler Pacifica Nevada/79D401.

Police are also looking out for a woman named Marilou Danley. Reports suggest that she was accompanying the suspect.
