In an important development, Jamiat Ahlihadith (JaH) in Jammu and Kashmir has once again elected Ghulam Mohammad Bhat Almadani as the party chief (President).

He (Bhat) has been elected as President  (chief of JaH) by majority vote,” Jamiat spokesman Nasrallah. “He (Bhat) has been appointed for a term of three years.” This is the second time Bhat has been appointed the President.

Gh. Mohammad Bhat got 297 whereas
Riyaz Ahmad Shah got 116 votes,  who is brother of ex President Shaheed Moulana Showkat Ahmad Shah.
