Clashes erupted in Kaloosa area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Thursday after government forces resorted to teargas shelling to chase away the protesting students.
Witnesses said that police entered the premises of Nadim Memorial Higher Secondary School to disperse the protesting students.
“Police entered the school campus and burst several tear smoke and sound shells, triggering clashes,” they said.
The students were protesting against a police crackdown on Degree College Pulwama that left over fifty students injured last week.
